Sprains, Strains & Spasms

Sprains are injuries to the ligaments-the tissues that hold a bone to a bone. Strains are injuries to muscle tissue and tendons. Spasms are an uncontrolled contraction of a muscle.

These injuries can occur suddenly, such as a fall, or occur over a long period of time, like using a computer that is not set up properly for the person using the computer. Injuries to these soft tissues cause pain, swelling, tightness, altered posture, weakness of muscles, and limited movement of the joints. Chiropractic care of the joints, massage, and nutrition, help these soft tissues to heal and function normally.
